To establish a quick and effective communication channel for promoting Integrity Management (IM) related issues, New Territories North Region established a Junior Police Officer (JPO) Integrity Management Committee last month. The committee, headed by a Station Sergeant from Regional Missing Persons Unit (RMPU), comprises the JPOs of all operations units, including Police Tactical Unit, Quick Reaction Force, Emergency Unit, Regional Command and Control Centre, Dangerous Drugs Handling Unit and RMPU.

The committee will collect views and suggestions on IM issues from JPOs, while the committee chairman will reflect the views and suggestions to the management. At the same time, the chairman will also convey the latest IM information from the management to the JPOs via the committee, leading to a two-way communication.

At the committee's first meeting, Senior Superintendent (Operations) David Jordon introduced the objectives of the committee and the idea of "Bottom-up Communication".
