The "Fight Scams Together" platform, rolled out by Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) in July last year to disseminate scam prevention messages through social media platforms, takes account of fraud trends and updates contents to apprise the public of the latest scam prevention information.

Scam prevention micro-movies

The "Fight Scams Together" has put in place a number of micro-movies to vividly illustrate fraudsters' modes of operation. As conmen vary their modus operandi from time to time and there have been several investment fraud cases involving a number of victims recently, CCB is producing a new series of micro-movies to tackle this problem. The movie will be launched in the second quarter of this year.

Multi-agency approach

CCB has been working in close partnership with strategic stakeholders. Currently, Home Affairs Department, Leisure and Cultural Services Department, Labour Department and Consumer Council have the "Fight Scams Together" hyperlink on their websites. On January 23, CCB took part in the "Seniors and Police Join Hands to Fight Crime Fun Day" organised by Eastern District and introduced the "Fight Scams Together" platform to 156 Senior Police Call members, underscoring the concept of "Fight Scams Together".

International collaboration

CCB and Singapore Police Force (SPF) jointly produced a Lottery Fraud episode for the Police Magazine last year. The episode has been uploaded to "Fight Scams Together" and SPF 's YouTube Channel. In addition, the Macau Judiciary Police Department has added the hyperlink of "Fight Scams Together" to its website. On January 22, People 's Daily Online and CCB jointly held a press interview to publicise the "Fight Scams Together" platform to Mainland readers. This demonstrates CCB's continuous efforts to identify suitable channels and overseas stakeholders for "combating scams together".
