Wong Tai Sin District (WTSDIST) held the "Drug Free and Be Myself" youth drug prevention project from last September to May this year to mobilise over 30 secondary schools to join hands with the Parent-Teacher Associations and non-governmental organisations to disseminate anti-drug and anti-crime messages. The project reached its height with a carnival cum award presentation ceremony on May 22.

Through participating in a series of workshops including "game booth design", "planning of integrated activities" and "interest class on DIY daily necessities", the students learned about different types of drugs and their harmful effects to human body in an interactive and interesting way.

Then the students made use of what they learned and their creativity to design game booths for the carnival to promote the importance of building a drug-free community.

During the carnival, WTSDIST Commander James Betts presented the Best Design Game Booth Award to PHC Wing Kwong College. He encouraged all students to use their minds and creativity to spread the message of beating drug abuse. The project is planned to be held again this September.
