Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury (SFST) Professor K C Chan, accompanied by Yaumatei Divisional Commander Ma Wai-hing, visited the new Yau Ma Tei Police Station during a community visit to Yau Tsim Mong District on September 22.

Professor Chan toured the police station, and was briefed on its facilities, including the barrier-free access facilities, an induction loop system and a baby care room. He was impressed with the design of the new generation report room, which provides quality services to the public.

Officers also introduced to Professor Chan the energy-saving features and renewable energy technology in the police station. He was pleased to learn that these features helped to save 6.4% of the energy consumption annually, and encouraged the officers to continue taking up the social responsibility for environmental protection.
