Acting Commissioner Wong Chi-hung, together with Kowloon West (KW) Regional Commander Yu Tat-chung and other regional representatives, attended a meeting with three officers of the KW Emergency Unit (EU) at KW Regional Headquarters on October 3 in honour of their resolute efforts in opening fire to stop a violent wounding case in Yau Ma Tei at dawn the previous day.


Mr Wong highly appreciated the officers, who showed extreme courage, for making a correct judgement in accordance with the principles of the use of force and the prevailing circumstances that were presented before them at the scene. After the incident, EU KW received many appreciation messages from various sectors of the community. The officers' outstanding performance lived up to the expectations of the Force and the public.
