Regional Commander of the Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol (HKRSP)(Hong Kong and Islands) Mr Cheng Shing-fung and representatives of HKRSP presented a tapestry flag to Police Constable (PC) Lai Chin-hung of the Patrol Sub-unit of the Enforcement and Control Division of Traffic Hong Kong Island (T HKI) on September 15 in recognition of his courage and decisiveness in subduing a man who waved a cleaver.

On August 11, the man was found waving a cleaver at a street. Officers immediately arrived at the scene and gave a warning. PC Lai subdued the man, who was arrested for being suspected of "Possession of Offensive Weapon in Public Place" and "Criminal Intimidation".
