On August 5, the Police Community Relations Office of Lantau District (LTDIST) held the fifth activity of the Youth Career Programme for this year, in which some 20 Junior Police Call (JPC) members were given a guided tour to the Headquarters of the Government Flying Service (GFS).

The activity started with a Pilot introducing the scope of services of the GFS and the work of its units. The JPC members were then led to the Flight Planning Room and Air Command and Control Centre, where they were briefed on the weather monitoring system and work arrangements for responding to emergency reports.

Afterwards the JPC members proceeded to the Hangar to take a close look at different types of aircraft. They enjoyed the visit as it had increased their understanding of the daily work of the GFS.
