Deputy Chief of Staff of Guangdong (GD) Border Control Bureau Mr Yang Jinhua led a delegation of six members to attend a training programme organised by Hong Kong Marine Police's Small Boat Division (SBDIV) from September 23 to 26.

The programme covered a wide range of topics, including an overview of SBDIV, Maritime Emergency Response Tactics, high-speed pursuit, boat interception tactics and forced boarding techniques.

Superintendent of SBDIV Lau King-lun said both sides benefitted from the programme, which gave a good opportunity for local officers to exchange views with the delegates on maritime law enforcement and share marine operational tactics.
