Wong Tai Sin District (WTSDIST) enrolled 60 secondary school students in a training camp that was held by the Correctional Services Department (CSD) at their correctional facilities at Ma Hang and on Hei Ling Chau from December 28 to 30. The event marked one of the activities of an anti-drug project, "Drug Free and Be Myself", launched by WTSDIST to raise youngsters' awareness to beat drugs.

With the company of two members of Wong Tai Sin District Fight Crime Committee, Mr Chan Chun-ching and Mr Choi Wai-kit, the students toured Ma Hang Prison and learned about inmates' life through visiting the cells, dining hall and workplaces. They also underwent a rigorous training programme which covered foot drills, adventure training and scenario exercises, and listened to Mr Chan and Mr Choi's sharing of their life experience with a view to building up positive values and an analytical mind.

The visit to Hei Ling Chau Drug Addiction Treatment Centre enabled the students to better understand the adverse effects of drug abuse and the compulsory drug addiction treatment programmes there.
