The Regional Crime Prevention Office of New Territories North (NTN) presented appreciation letters to 61 Fight Crime Ambassadors on December 9 for their assistance in distributing publicity leaflets during crime prevention campaigns. Nearly 1 000 elders turned up to share the joy of their peers, and attended a talk on how to prevent telephone deception.

The officiating guests, NTN Regional Commander Kwok Ho-fai, Chairmen of the District Fight Crime Committees as well as Senior Police Call Honorary Presidents and District Commanders in NTN Region, and Regional Crime Prevention Ambassador Mr Lo Chun-shun, appreciated the ambassadors' contribution to crime prevention.

At the same occasion, some staff members of remittance agencies and banks were commended for alerting potential victims of telephone scams against suffering financial loss, and some small and medium-sized enterprises were praised for disseminating anti-telephone deception message to the public.
