Yau Tsim Mong District Councillors Messrs Yeung Tsz-hei, Chung Kong-mo and Jo Chun-wah, together with the representatives of Tsim Sha Tsui District Kaifong Welfare Association, Yau Ma Tei Kaifong Welfare Association and Yau Tsim Mong East and South Area Committees, presented tapestry flags to Yau Tsim District Commander Kwok Pak-chung, Divisional Commander of Yaumatei Division (YMTDIV) Ma Wai-hing and officers from different units of the Division on December 20 as a token of appreciation for their efforts in combatting drug trafficking, burglaries and unlicensed liquor sale in Yau Tsim District.

After noticing a rise in unlicensed bars in Yau Ma Tei, the Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit of YMTDIV took stringent enforcement actions against these premises and its number dropped significantly, while late-night violence had been brought under control.
