On February 11, officers of the Police Community Relations Office in Tai Po District (TPDIST) brought 40 secondary school students of Tai Po and the North District to the High Court to participate in a Mock Court Trial, which was the third module of the TPDIST Drug Fighting Elite Scheme.

Following the first two modules on a simulated arresting operation on drug trafficking and a Dialogue with Lawyers, the case of the simulated drug traffickers was taken to the High Court for a mock trial. The legal team members from the Rotary Club of Tai Po were invited to act as judges while the students played the role of chief prosecutors and defence counsels.

The series of activities enabled the students to gain a better understanding of the harmful effects of dangerous drugs and the importance of the rule of law. They are determined to say "no" to drug abuse and become law-abiding citizens.
