Director of Personnel and Training (DPT) Chiu Wai-yin led six officers from the Police College and the Personnel Wing to visit the Singapore Police Force (SPF) from March 13 to 15 with a view to exploring issues of mutual interest and fostering a closer partnership.

The delegation visited several departments at the SPF Headquarters to discuss planning and organisational development, human resources management, training strategies and other policing matters. They also met with Deputy Commissioner (Policy) Mr Lim Kok-thai and other senior officers of SPF to exchange views on management issues.

Riding on that opportunity, the delegation visited the Home Team Academy and INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation (IGCI) to talk about training strategies, capacity building policy and other issues of common concern. During the visit to the IGCI, the delegates met Director of Capacity Building and Training Directorate Mr Harold O'Connell to exchange experience on training matters. The delegation found the visit very fruitful as it enabled the Force and the SPF to share good practices and enhance mutual co-operation.
