With the arrangement made by the Police College, Senior Inspectors Tam Yun-chung and Liu Wang-lei attended the management course "Leadership in Action" (LIA) cum attachment at the Queensland Police Service (QPS) Academy, Australia, from February 27 to March 17.

The LIA equipped the trainees with the contemporary leadership and management skills in policing work. Fellow officers from the QPS, Queensland Fire and Rescue Service as well as Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau shared their management experience with the two Force officers to broaden their horizons. During the attachment programme, the Force officers followed local frontline officers on patrol and visited various police units to learn about their daily work.

The two Force officers said the course had strengthened their leadership abilities and provided a good opportunity for them to establish a rapport with overseas counterparts at both managerial and working levels.
