With the support of an Ambassador of the Elite Athletes Strategic Engagement Scheme, Ms Ho Yin-ngai, the Police Adventure Club (PAC) offered canoeing training to eight secondary students in the Sport Legacy Programme on April 8 and 12.

The programme was launched by the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, in an attempt to arrange retired athletes to offer sports training for specific groups to promote community engagement. Ms Ho, who was a delegate of the 2014 Asian Games and an ex-member of the Hong Kong Canoe Team, was invited by the PAC to conduct canoeing training for eight students at Tai Mei Tuk Water Sports Centre.

Sergeant So Chun-kit of the PAC said that the students made good use of the opportunity to enhance their physical fitness and learn more about marine conservation while PAC members grasped the chance to practise advanced canoeing techniques.
