The Junior Police Officers Development Learning Division (JPO DLD) of the Police College was awarded the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 Certificate, with Superintendent of JPO DLD Cheung Man-ching receiving the certificate from Director of Corporate Business of Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency Ms Jorine Tam on May 26. Deputy Director 1 of the Police College Chan Man-tak was present to witness the presentation ceremony.

This upgrade of the certificate marks an important milestone for JPO DLD, which is the first division in the Police College to receive recognition through this new quality certification on the design and provision of training service. In 2003, JPO DLD was the first training formation awarded with ISO 9001 Certificate for its high standard in quality management. Over the years, JPO DLD has maintained the professionalism and high quality in its training service. It is an honour that this year JPO DLD has successfully completed the ISO 9001:2015 conversion audit, and was awarded with the new version of the certificate.

Compared to the previous version, ISO 9001:2015 places more emphasis on risks and opportunities, knowledge management, customer satisfaction, and having active response to the organisation's external and internal issues so as to effectively achieve the desired outcomes. Meanwhile, another division of the Police College, the Police Operational Learning Division, will go through the same accreditation in August.
