Acting Superintendent Chan Chun-kwong of the School of Foundation Training of the Hong Kong Police College led a delegation to attend the Home Team Show and Festival 2017 in Singapore from May 4 to 6 to learn about their counterparts' experience in organising large-scale community engagement events.

The festival was held between May 3 and 7 by the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Singaporean Government in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the National Service and the launching of the Home Team concept 20 years ago.

The Force delegation met with the organising committee of the festival on the planning and challenges of the event. They were then led to a tour of the festival and visited a number of exhibitions that aimed to educate the public on their role in coping with terrorist attacks. The delegation also attended the Home Team Show, which was the highlight of the event.

Riding on this opportunity, the delegation visited the Training Command of the Singapore Police Force to exchange experience with their counterparts about training recruits and developing incumbent officers.
