Wong Tai Sin District (WTSDIST) conducted a series of road safety activities recently to raise the awareness of pedestrians, in particular the elderly, so as to reduce traffic accidents.


WTSDIST Commander James Betts led officers of the Police Community Relations Office and Traffic Team of the district to distribute publicity leaflets at traffic black spots near Ngau Chi Wan Market, Sheung Fung Street and Tung Tau Tsuen Road on May 10, 16 and 17 respectively, in conjunction with officers of the Road Safety Patrol (Kowloon East Region) and Senior Police Call (SPC) members.


Wong Tai Sin District Councillors, Mr Wu Chi-wai, Ms Tam Mei-po, Mr Choy Tsz-kin, Ms Kwok Sau-ying and Mr Lee Tung-kong, also joined the Force team in reminding the pedestrians to comply with traffic regulations and pay due regard to the safety of other road users.
