The Recruitment Division and mentors of the Police Mentorship Programme (PMP) jointly arranged a visit for 35 mentees from 11 universities and tertiary institutions to the Police Public Relations Branch (PPRB) on June 13.

The event started with a sharing on PPRB's role, structure and work priorities by Senior Superintendent of the PPRB Tse Chun-chung. Then PPRB officers led the mentees to visit the Media Briefing Room and briefed them on the Force's relationship with the media as well as the latest development of the social media platform of the police.

The mentors of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, namely Chief Inspectors Tai Yan and Yeung San-pong and Senior Inspector Ho Wai-man, led the mentees to take part in role-play activities. Some mentees played the role of the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners to conduct a year-end media briefing on the crime situation in Hong Kong and take questions from the mentors and PPRB officers who acted as reporters. All mentees showed keen interest in the interactive event and gained a better understanding of the work of the PPRB and the Force's relationship with media.
