Tuen Mun District (TMDIST) Commander Mak Wai-man appointed four Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) as Fight Crime Ambassadors during a gathering of NEC leaders and community representatives on May 22.

Along with the five existing Fight Crime Ambassadors, the four newly- appointed ambassadors would help spread positive values among the NEC youngsters in the district, encourage these youngsters to report crime and join hands with the Force in combating crime.

Meanwhile, Ms Mak presented a certificate of appreciation to the imam of a mosque in Yau Oi Estate in recognition of his active role in assisting TMDIST to organise a diversity programme, Chinese Class for NEC Primary Students, to promote racial integration. The programme was the first of its kind held at the mosque.

In addition, three officers of TMDIST were presented with certificates of Integration Ambassadors in commendation of their volunteer work and contribution in promoting activities for youngsters and the NEC community.
