The Police Adventure Club (PAC) co-organised an Ocean Cleanup Day with the Hong Kong Army Cadets (HKAC) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) on May 7.

More than 20 teenagers from HKAC, led by the PAC canoeing coaches, paddled their canoes from Tai Mei Tuk to Ma Shi Chau. On their way they collected garbage floating on the sea and on Ma Shi Chau. They then landed on Yuen Chau Tsai in Tai Po and visited the Island House Conservation Studies Centre of WWF, a century-old statutory monument.

The teenagers not only enjoyed the beautiful coastal scenery along the 18-kilometre cruise, but also helped to clean up the sea and promote environmental protection. The PAC will continue to collaborate with charity organisations to foster community engagement.
