Consul-General of New Zealand in Hong Kong Mr Carl Worker paid a courtesy call on Commissioner Lo Wai-chung on August 24. They discussed a wide range of issues of common concern, such as the strategies on combating cross-boundary crime as well as co-operation of law enforcement authorities in the two places.

They recognised the importance of reinforcing the close partnership between the two places with a view to maintaining a stable law and order situation in both jurisdictions.

Mr Worker assumed the current post on August 21. He said the visit had enhanced his understanding of the Force. Mr Lo took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the New Zealand Police for their consistent support of the Hong Kong Police Force.
