The Junior Police Officers Division of the Personnel Wing hosted a Workshop on Coaching Skills for mentors of the Development Programme for Junior Officers with Potential at the Police Headquarters on August 15. Apart from the mentors of the Development Programme, the workshop also attracted mentors of the Project Growth as well as mentees of the Police Mentorship Programme. It also served as a platform for the 40-plus members from different programmes to interact and exchange insights.

A former Training Officer of the Police College, Dr Johnny Wan, together with three facilitators who were also retired Force members with extensive training experience, was invited to give lectures and run practical exercises on mentoring skills, empathetic listening and problem-solving skills. The participants received on-site feedback on their performance and benefited a lot from the workshop.

The Junior Police Officers Division will from time to time work in partnership with various groups in organising training activities. Officers are encouraged to keep an eye on the Force NoticeBoard and the homepage of the Division for their upcoming activities.
