To prevent and combat burglary, Kowloon City Division (KCDIV), in collaboration with the Police Community Relations Office of Kowloon City District (KCDIST) and the Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon West, hosted a Home Security Seminar on October 30.

More than 20 participants, including Kowloon City District Councillor Mr Ho Hin-ming as well as representatives of property management offices, security guards and residents, attended the seminar. Officers not only briefed them about the crime trend and the modus operandi for burglaries, but also explained the policing strategies and offered suggestions for the participants to step up household security, particularly for buildings undergoing renovation with scaffolding.

Commander of Patrol Sub-Unit 3 of KCDIV Tong Ho-ting reminded the attendees of the importance of home security and encouraged them to maintain close communication with the Force. Officers also distributed anti-burglary posters and souvenirs to the participants.
