In an effort to promote community engagement, Border District (BORDIST) arranged for members of Yuen Long District Fight Crime Committee (YLDFCC) to visit the District to enable them to get a deeper understanding of parallel trading activities in the area.

In this regard, Chairman of YLDFCC Mr Lui Kin and 10-odd DFCC members paid a visit on October 24 to a mega shopping mall that was going to be open in Lok Ma Chau. BORDIST officers and representatives from the shopping mall explained to the DFCC members the traffic arrangements, categories of shops and management of the shopping mall.

Mr Lui and the DFCC members thanked the BORDIST officers for their meticulous arrangement, adding that the visit enabled them to understand more about the police's difficulties and challenges in combating parallel trading, and learn about other policing work and the latest development in BORDIST.
