A 35-strong delegation from Singapore National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) arrived in Hong Kong on November 6 for a five-day exchange programme to see for themselves the different facets of the Hong Kong Police Force, in particular the Junior Police Call (JPC).

The Police Public Relations Branch (PPRB) arranged the NPCC cadets to visit several police formations, including JPC@Pat Heung, Traffic Kowloon East Headquarters, Police Dog Unit, Marine South Divisional Base, Cheung Chau Division and Police Museum. Group activities and discussions were also arranged for the NPCC cadets with JPC members to enhance mutual understanding.

With the support of the Singapore Police Force and Ministry of Education, the NPCC has become a popular uniformed youth organisation in Singapore. It shares the common objectives with the Hong Kong JPC in cultivating self-confidence and competitiveness of youngsters, and building up their physique through a range of training and activities. Starting from 2009, the NPCC and JPC have been conducting reciprocal visits annually with an aim to broadening members' horizons about the host city and to enhancing their understanding about each other's cultures.
