Kowloon West (KW) Regional Crime Prevention Office and Kowloon West Youth-Care Committee co-organised "Fight Crime Without Boundary Talent Competition 2017" on November 18 in an attempt to strengthen cultural exchange between Non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) and local youths as well as raise their awareness of crime prevention and sense of belonging. More than 100 NEC and local youngsters took part in the event.

With the theme of working together to combat crime, 12 teams of different races competed in performing arts, covering singing, folk dance, musical, drama and lion dance. As crime prevention messages were integrated into their performance, over 800 spectators learned fight crime tips whilst enjoying the show. On the other hand, KW Junior Police Call members staged a catwalk contest to present self-designed clothes carrying anti-crime messages.

The officiating guests, KW Regional Commander Cheuk Hau-yip and Chairman of Kowloon West Youth-Care Committee Mr Cheung Che-kong, together with other guests delivered paper airplanes with crime prevention messages to the audience. This symbolised that different racial groups joined with the Force to disseminate fight crime messages to the local community.
