Commissioner of New Zealand Police Mr Mike Bush led a three-member delegation, including Consul-General of New Zealand in Hong Kong Mr Carl Worker, to visit the Force on December 6, 2017. They paid a courtesy call on Acting Commissioner Lau Yip-shing and met with officers of the Narcotics Bureau.

Mr Lau and Mr Bush discussed issues of mutual concern, covering the overall crime trends of the two places, strategies on combating cross-boundary crime and the future direction of collaboration. Both sides looked forward to reinforcing their partnership with a view to maintaining a stable law and order situation in both jurisdictions.

Mr Bush said the visit had deepened his understanding of the work of the Hong Kong Police Force. On the other hand, Mr Lau expressed his gratitude to the New Zealand Police for their continuous support.
