Some officers of the Police Tactical Unit C Company (PTU C COY) (New Territories North) participated in the UNICEF Charity Run 2017 on November 26 to fulfill social responsibility to raise funds for UNICEF and to promote the health values of the Force. They raised over $20,000 to support UNICEF's "For every child, end AIDS" global campaign for developing countries.

Led by Company Commander Chan Siu-ming, the PTU runners arrived at the venue at 5 am for preparation. The cold and rainy weather did not lessen their enthusiasm. All officers finished the 10-kilometre run, with Police Constable Tam Ka-fai making the best result in 45 minutes and 13 seconds and securing the second runner-up position. Mr Chan and Company second-in-charge Tsang Chiu-fo said that the event had not only collected donation for children in need, but also promoted community engagement and maintained the runners' strong physique.
