The Police Volleyball Club organised the annual University Invitation Tournament for men at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on January 14 with the aim of fostering friendship with tertiary students.


Following a series of nail-biting matches, The University of Hong Kong (HKU) clinched the championship, followed by Police Team A and Police Team B. Two members from the Police Teams, Inspector Lam Chun-yu and Auxiliary Police Constable Leung Chi-wah, were awarded the Best Blocker and the Best Defensive Player respectively; and two team members from HKU, Mr Cheung Chun-pui and Mr Mak Tsz-chun, won the title of the Most Valuable Player and the Best Setter respectively. Other contestants came from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Lingnan University and Hong Kong Shue Yan University.


Chairperson of the Club Ms Kwan Chui-ching officiated at the prize presentation ceremony and encouraged members of the Police Volleyball Club to keep on pursuing a healthy lifestyle and maintain good relationships within the Force and with other community partners.
