A presentation ceremony was held by the Crime Prevention Bureau (CPB) on March 23 to mark the completion of the Standard Crime Prevention Course. Twenty-four trainees from Regional Crime Prevention Offices (RCPO), the Critical Infrastructure Security Coordination Centre and the Witness Protection Unit of the Force as well as the Emergency Support Unit of the Security Bureau attended the course.

Through lectures and fieldwork assignments, the trainees learned to apply the latest crime prevention techniques and new security equipment, and acquired a better understanding of the relevant legislation. This enriched their knowledge and skills for giving crime prevention advice to the general public.

Chief Superintendent (Crime Support) Yau Siu-kei congratulated the trainees on completing the three-week course. He presented certificates to them and encouraged them to spread the crime prevention messages to the community. He also expressed thanks to the guest speakers and CPB officers for their support and assistance respectively.
