RC HKI shares policing expertise

The Police College ran a sharing session of "Meet a Commissioner Rank Officer" series on April 27, with Regional Commander of Hong Kong Island (RC HKI) Yu Tat-chung as guest speaker and Police College Deputy Director (2) cum Chief Knowledge Champion Dr Chiu Sau-mee as facilitator. About 60 frontline officers from across the Force attended the event.

Mr Yu shared his invaluable experience in tackling several major incidents, including the handling of violent protests in the Sixth Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization in 2005 and the illegal Occupy Movement in 2014, the investigation of a "Throwing of Corrosive Acid" case in Causeway Bay in 2009 and the launching of Project Gemstone in Yau Tsim District.

Mr Yu highlighted his motto, "Diligence and Devotion to Work", to the participants. He encouraged the young frontline commanders to maintain perseverance and enthusiasm in face of challenges and difficulties. The participants found the sharing inspiring.
