Sergeant Lee Chi-hung attended the Armament System and Procedure (ASP) Instructor Course in Germany from April 3 to 7. The course was held by the International Police Association (IPA) to promote knowledge sharing and foster understanding among police officers from around the world.

More than 24 police officers from 10 countries and regions participated in the training. Mr Lee, an Executive Council member of IPA Hong Kong Section and a winner of Arthur Troop Scholarship of IPA World in 2018, represented the IPA Hong Kong Section to attend the course.

The course covered a series of lectures and practical exercises about the skills of instructing officers in the use of the ASP tactical baton and handcuffs, defensive impact weapon tactics, restraint techniques as well as knife defence and emergency techniques.

The course enabled the participants to exchange expertise and know more about each other's police culture, work procedures and law enforcement strategies. More importantly, the seminar offered an opportunity for different IPA sections to expand networking. At the end of the course, Mr Lee has been qualified as an ASP trainer. IPA Hong Kong Section will arrange a session for Mr Lee to share with other Force members the knowledge and skills acquired.
