With the arrangements made by the Police College, Senior Superintendent Yu Hoi-kwan led 27 officers from various units to attend the Mainland Study Programme in Beijing from May 7 to 18.

The programme, which was held by the People's Public Security University of China, covered the development of the judicial and legal systems of the Mainland. The professors and the Force delegates exchanged views on topical issues, such as the key messages of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and leadership enhancement.

The delegates called on the headquarters of Tianjin Municipal Public Security Bureau as well as Jizhou and Beichen public security branches to learn more about frontline policing work. They also visited Tianjin Cultural Centre and Tianjin Binhai Library.

The delegation highly praised the programme. It enabled them to gain new perspectives on the development of public security work as well as the cultural and economic aspects of the Mainland.
