The Psychological Services Group (PSG) invited founder of drama troupe "The Nonsensemakers" Ms Jo Ngai, its Artistic Director Mr Rensen Chan and a few troupe members to speak at a Balances and Wisdom Seminar on May 24. The event drew a turnout of more than 200 Force members, including Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Siu Chak-yee.

Ms Ngai and Mr Chan shared with the audience their enthusiasm for drama and their path to choose drama as their lifelong career. They set up a subsidiary barrier-free troupe "Hand in Hand Capable Theatre" to encourage people with disabilities to understand and accept each other. Through theatre training and performance, these individuals can showcase their talents while the able-bodied can learn about their needs. This helps to spread the message of harmony and destigmatisation in the community.

The duo admitted that they did encounter a lot of difficulties in the process of establishing the troupe. However, they kept up their dedication because of their unrelenting passion and their meaningful work. They emphasised that everyone has his/her own strengths and should do one's best to pursue life goals.

Other troupe members shared their experience in identifying their own talents and life goals. They performed a drama at the seminar to illustrate the importance of respecting and accepting other people. Last but not least, Ms Ngai, Mr Chan and other troupe members encouraged Force members to discover their talents, live their passion in life and to bring out the best in each other.
