The Police Tennis Club pocketed five gold, two silver and six bronze medals in the 32nd Henry Fok Cup Civil Servants Tennis Tournament. Acting Commissioner Lau Yip-shing led the Police Tennis Team to receive the trophies from the officiating guests, representative of Patron Mr Kenneth Fok and Secretary for the Civil Service Mr Joshua Law, at a prize presentation ceremony on June 9.


The tournament, which had been suspended for 10 years, was reinitiated by the Hong Kong Chinese Civil Servants' Association. The Police Tennis Club sent a strong delegation of some 40 players to enter all categories of the tournament. After vigorous matches for five months, the Force players won 13 medals, including Gold medals in Men's Team Event, Men's Senior Single, Men's Junior Single, Men's Doubles and Men's Veteran Doubles.
