A member of the public, Mr Tsang, presented a tapestry flag to Superintendent (Operations) of Kowloon East (KE) Yu Siu-chuen on July 18 in appreciation of officers of the Regional Missing Persons Unit (RMPU) of KE for their operational efficiency and professionalism.

On May 25, Mr Tsang reported to the Police that his elderly mother, who suffered from dementia and required regular medication, was missing. Officers of RMPU KE conducted a large-scale search for Mr Tsang's mother and located her unharmed within 13 hours.

During the presentation ceremony, Mr Yu introduced to Mr Tsang and his friends about RMPU KE's initiative – "Project Sole Good". The officers promoted the practice of applying a waterproof shoe sticker, containing contact information of the elderly's family members, to the inner sole of the shoes. This would help officers to quickly identify missing elderly people. Mr Tsang and his friends fully appreciated the Force's care for the elderly and would help promote the project to other people.
