The inauguration ceremony of the second Executive Committee of the JPC Fellows was held at the Police Headquarters on August 20. Director of Operations Tang Ping-keung, Chairperson of the Junior Police Call (JPC) Central Advisory Board cum Assistant Commissioner (Support) Lam Hiu-tong and some community leaders attended the ceremony organised by the Police Public Relations Branch.


Established in 2016, the JPC Fellows comprises outstanding former JPC members aged above 25. Drawing on the members' experience and networks, the JPC Fellows organises youth development programmes in partnership with the Force and the JPC in Districts to nurture future leaders for Hong Kong.


The second Executive Committee is formed by seven members, including retired police officers and representatives from banking security services, technology, education and accounting sectors. The new Chairperson is Ms Emily Chan while the Vice-Chairpersons are Mr Jeff Yip and former Assistant Commissioner Hui Chun-tak.


Ms Emily Chan was the Secretary of the first Executive Committee and works in financial technology. She was awarded the "Best Leader" in the JPC Awards Scheme and was a winner of "Hang Seng Bank - Help the Police Fight Youth Crime Competition 2006".


Ms Chan said in her inaugural speech that the JPC Fellows is enthusiastic about supporting youth development and contributing to the community. Its members would share their life experience and inspire young people to create their own Hong Kong stories.
