The Police College has collaborated with the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) to establish a physical-analysis and fitness-counselling centre. An opening ceremony was held in the School of Foundation Training on September 24. The facility, named "FitLink Centre" and the first of its kind, aims at enhancing the effectiveness of physical training programmes of the Police College.

The "FitLink Centre" is part of a collaborative research titled "Project FitLink". The project endeavours to provide data on the application of sports science in physical training, enhance the effectiveness of police physical training and assist trainees in developing their own physical fitness plans, thereby bringing benefits to Poly U, the Police College and officers.

The establishment of the centre has turned a new page for the Police College by incorporating sports science into its physical training programmes. The centre is manned by staff of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences from 6.30pm to 9.30pm on Fridays to provide physical analysis and relevant services for police trainees.
