With arrangements made by the Police College, Chief Superintendent Lui Kam-ho attended an executive training programme, entitled "Strategies for Building and Leading Diverse Organizations", at the John F Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in the United States between September 16 and 21.

The programme explored options for creating, managing and optimising diversity in different organizations through interactive lectures, group discussions, case studies and thematic learning. Not only did it attract corporate executives and senior public officials from around the world, but the Head of the Equal Opportunity Unit of The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and police chiefs from across the United States also attended the programme.

Mr Lui said the programme has enhanced his awareness of the nuances in engaging diverse communities. Under the Force Knowledge Management Framework, he has arranged an experience sharing session in his Major Formation to promote his team's understanding of inclusiveness and respect for diversity.
