Tai Po District (TPDIST) ran a youth development programme, named "Walking with Adversity", for over 700 primary students recently. The programme inspired the students to think positively when facing adversity, as well as enhanced their problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, communication skills and team spirit.

After the launching of the programme in June, staff of the Police Community Relations Office of TPDIST went to 11 primary schools to organise activities for the students. Group leaders led the members to join crime prevention and anti-drug adventures to strengthen their confidence and resilience in face of adversity. The training also helped the students build positive values, unleash positive energy and learn to cherish life.

Meanwhile, a Junior Police Call (JPC) recruitment seminar was conducted to introduce the diversified activities and training of JPC Scheme. The programme was highly acclaimed by the participating schools.
