The Force has published a commemorative book, entitled "Hong Kong Police Force 175th Anniversary – From Strength to Strength Serving with Pride and Care", to mark its 175th anniversary. Apart from documenting the historical development of the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) and the contribution of Force members over the years, the book enables the public to gain a better understanding of the many facets of the Force.

The book covers the work and activities of different formations of the Force under the chapters on "Commitment", "Courage", "Professionalism" and "Caring". It contains over 300 photographs with descriptions on the work of maintaining law and order, emergency response as well as various uniforms and equipment. Some historic photos are highly treasurable.

To cater for readers of different age groups and with different reading habits, the Force has developed a mobile application to enrich their reading experience. The application enables the readers to view videos, photo albums and three-dimensional models through augmented reality technology. Moreover, the readers can explore the history and development of the Force via a virtual reality journey game.

The book is now available in major bookstores. An electronic version of the book has also been uploaded to the website of the Force for public viewing (https://www.police.gov.hk/175a/en/ebook_intro.html). The Force will present each staff member with this commemorative book in late May.
