Amid the outbreak of COVID-19, the Police Community Relations Office of Sham Shui Po District (PCRO SSPODIST) collaborated with Shamshuipo Kaifong Welfare Advancement Association and Hong Kong Taoist Association to form a volunteer service group on March 27 to distribute anti-epidemic supplies to more than 200 people in need and non-ethnic Chinese families in the district in order to ride out this difficult period with the grassroots.

With a view to enhancing the public’s understanding of the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation (Cap. 599G) which prohibits group gatherings with more than four people in public places, officers of PCRO SSPODIST and Cheung Sha Wan Division conducted a joint operation with Special Constables from the Immigration Department and Project MAMA members to distribute leaflets in Tagalog, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai and Urdu to citizens and foreign domestic helpers during Easter holidays.

SSPODIST will continue to adopt a multi-agency approach to jointly fight against COVID-19 with various community sectors.Readers may visit the following link to watch a related video: (https://www.facebook.com/HongKongPoliceForce/videos/220496465957772/).
