The redevelopment project of the Junior Police Officers Married Quarters (JPO Quarters) at Fan Garden, Fanling is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2021. The site, situated on Fan Leng Lau Road (adjacent to the Police Driving and Traffic Training Centre) and located near Luen Wo Hui, is easily accessible by buses and public light buses and is only minutes away from Fanling MTR station.
The quarters site comprises five 29- to 31-storey blocks with a total of 1 184 units, including 180 “F” grade units (70 square metres) and 1 004 “G” grade units (55 square metres). Ancillary facilities for residents include a children playground and parking spaces.
It is expected that the relevant list of quarters units will be circulated for application in the fifth JPO Quarters Allocation Exercise of 2020 (JPO QAE 5/2020) or the first exercise of 2021 (JPO QAE 1/2021). To ensure a smooth allocation exercise, the Police Quartering Division (PQD) is forming a working group with members including representatives from the Junior Police Officers’ Association and regional residents’ associations.
