To enhance officers’ capability to investigate Loco London Gold (LLG) fraud cases and cementing the partnership with the relevant stakeholder, Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB) organised a sharing session on “Loco London Gold Fraud Investigation Technique” at the Police Headquarters (PHQ) on October 14. Over 150 detectives from Districts, Regions and PHQ attended the event.


The Head of Trading, Global Markets of Bank of China (Hong Kong), Mr Vincent Cheung shared his experience on the business operation of legitimate LLG trading. Detective Inspector Ho Chun-yuen and Senior Inspector Yeung Yip-hang of CCB respectively shared the techniques and experience in LLG fraud cases investigation, and introduced the Force Forensic Accountants’ Office’s assistance in LLG fraud cases.


The sharing session enriched officers’ knowledge of LLG, and enhanced their capabilities to combat the related fraud cases. The event also served as a platform for information exchange between the Force and the industry stakeholder of LLG.


In supporting frontline officers in handling LLG fraud cases, the CCB Investment Fraud Focus Group offers training, advice and on-site support to frontline investigation units.
