In the past year, artiste Ms Celine Leung volunteered to shoot various crime prevention publicity videos for New Territories North (NTN) Region and actively took part in regional anti-crime activities. In appreciation of Celine’s continuous support for the Region, NTN Regional Commander Tsang Ching-fo appointed Celine as the NTN Crime Prevention Ambassador on December 9. Celine said that she was very pleased to be appointed as the Ambassador and she would continue to assist the Police in delivering crime prevention messages to the public.

On the other hand, the Regional Crime Prevention Office of NTN (RCPO NTN) launched “i-Notice” on December 9, with a view to effectively conveying crime prevention information to residents living in old buildings. The Police have collaborated with owners’ corporations to set up a crime prevention information corner in conspicuous areas of the buildings, so that the Police can inform residents of crime trends and crime prevention measures in the district in a timely manner, thereby enhancing their crime prevention awareness. The project was supported by various District Fight Crime Committees and residents in the Region. Officers of RCPO NTN also visited over 160 eligible old buildings in the Region to explain the details of the project to representatives of owners’ corporations.
