TWDIST

Tsuen Wan District Junior Police Call (TWDIST JPC) launched a football training programme at the Shing Mun Valley Park Soccer Pitch on November 4 to instil positive values in youngsters.

The programme is supported by the Hong Kong Football Association and a Brazilian footballer was invited to be the head coach. Currently, over 30 students aged between eight and 11 participate in the programme. Through a series of selection process and training, the programme aims to form a TWDIST JPC Football Team in future. The programme also invited trainees and their parents to watch a football match at the Hong Kong Stadium to broaden their horizon.

TMDIST

The Tuen Mun District (TMDIST) management and officers formed a coaching team to provide boxing training to youngsters in the district, with a view to developing their discipline, positive values and resilience.

From early November, the training is conducted every Wednesday at the rooftop of the Tuen Mun Police Station. Among the participants are two non-ethnic Chinese teenagers. After each training session, officers would organise activities such as a visit to the police station, a showcase of police car equipment and sharing sessions with officers to enhance youngsters’ understanding of police work. Certificates will be presented to participants upon completion of the training.
