On November 25, 2021, the Knowledge Management (Marine Policing) team and the Animal Watchers Programme team of Marine Region jointly ran an experience sharing session under the Beyond Boundaries Learning Series at Marine South Division. The sharing session was also broadcast live to officers at the Marine Regional Headquarters, Marine North Division, Marine East Division and Marine West Division.


Representatives of the Ocean Park Conservation Foundation Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Marine Life Stranding and Education Centre were invited as speakers to share their experience in handling and investigating marine mammal stranding cases and the relevant marine conservation information with frontline officers. More than 120 officers attended the sharing session to enhance their professional knowledge and practical skills in handling and investigating marine mammal stranding incidents, in particular the safety hints of handling stranded animals at scene.
