Since the launch of P-TV in June 2021, around 1 300 videos covering Force-related topics on knowledge sharing, operations, welfare, and police stories from different units have attracted over 1.3 million views. To deepen the understanding of and awareness on digital policing, a new series of “IT Capture” has been released on P-TV since November 2021, with 14 episodes attracting over 70 000 views. Riding on the success, the Information Systems Wing (ISW) launched “IT Capture – The Special Edition” on April 8, 2022 featuring distinguished guests from different units to present various digital policing initiatives within the Force.

In the first episode, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Information Systems) Kwan Chui-ching, was invited to explain ISW’s initiatives on digital policing. In the second and third episodes, former Chief Superintendent of the Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB), Dr Law Yuet-wing was invited to present the trend of technology crime in Hong Kong and to introduce various projects undertaken by CSTCB in supporting the frontline investigators. In the fourth episode, Chief Inspector of Cyber Intelligence Division of CSTCB Cheung Wai-ho introduced “e-COP”, which is a customised investigative solution to readily assist frontline officers in tracing digital information.

ISW will continue to create more episodes of “IT Capture – Special Edition” with other divisions to share more information on digital policing. Please watch the episodes on P-TV.
