Tseung Kwan O District (TKODIST) has been dedicated to promoting participation of local youngsters in community groups and launched the “TKO’s Footprints” project in August 2021. Communication with the youth in the district has been enhanced through a number of competitions. On May 21, 2022, the winning entries were shown in a shopping mall of the district. The displayed pieces included those from “TKO’s Footprints Quiz and Colouring Competition (Kindergarten)”, “TKO Year of the Tiger Design Competition” and “Love & Protect TKO Photo Competition”.


On the event day, Regional Commander of Kowloon East Dr Law Yuet-wing, District Commander of TKODIST Mak Man-yu, District Lands Officer of Sai Kung Mr Ma Hon-yim, Chairperson of Sai Kung District School Heads Association Ms Chan Man-yin, Member of District Fight Crime Committee (Sai Kung District) Ms Yuen Yuk-lan, Chairperson of Federation Parent-Teacher Associations of the Sai Kung District Mr Eric Moy, together with the principals of kindergarten, primary and secondary schools in the district, came to show support and enjoyed the exhibition of the winning entries.


Officers of the Recruitment Division, Narcotics Bureau and Anti-Deception Coordination Centre were also invited to the exhibition to introduce to the public the police recruitment process, harmful effects of drugs and various anti-deception tips respectively.


Police Community Relations Office of TKODIST will continue developing the “TKO’s Footprints” project in collaboration with different parties. Through diverse activities, the historical and cultural heritage of Tseung Kwan O can be promoted, and the sense of caring for others and conserving the locality can be advocated to youngsters.
